Think Coffee at 248 Mercer St has been a cherished destination for me in the city, particularly when I seek a cozy haven to unwind or tackle some work. The ambiance strikes a harmonious balance—inviting yet spacious enough to ensure that there’s usually a comfortable seat available. With an abundance of natural light and a soothing vibe, it’s the ideal locale to recharge, whether you have just an hour or an entire afternoon to spend. The coffee here is consistently exceptional, and I genuinely appreciate the meticulous attention that goes into crafting each cup. I tend to gravitate towards their expertly made espresso drinks, which never fail to impress, though they also offer a range of innovative specialty options for those looking to explore something new. The staff is friendly and always contributes to the warm and welcoming atmosphere. What truly distinguishes Think Coffee is its vibrant mix of patrons—students, professionals, and locals alike—which fosters a genuine sense of community. Its convenient location near Washington Square Park and other beloved spots further enhances its appeal. If you’re in search of a tranquil retreat in the heart of the city, Think Coffee is undoubtedly worth a visit.

I’m only giving this Think coffee 2 stars because of the memories I had here, otherwise this would be a 1 star for me. I’ve been going to this Think Coffee since I entered college 3 years ago and I loved it. However recently, I’ve noticed that the prices have been going up but the quality and service has been going down. The apple cider soda I bought was around 8 bucks and the avocado toast was 8.50+tax. The cup was sized like a normal drink and they didn’t give me less ice when I asked for it, in fact, 70% of the drink was ice. The avocado toast was 60% beansprout and 40% toast and avocado. Before this, I had thought it was strange that I asked to have my ham and cheese croissant warmed up but was refused with the only excuse being “we don’t do that here.” I’m confused… I’ve been coming here for a while and that’s never happened before. It just doesn’t make sense that I pay for a $6.50 +tax croissant and not get it heated up. I’ve been trying to give this place a chance but it just seems like it’s changed. I avoid going here now but it’s a shame because it was close to one of my classes and I just thought it’d be a good breakfast place to go to. Unfortunately, I thought wrong.

Update: 9/5/23 - the wifi still often does work here. Good vibe, but can get crowded because it's near NYU. In summary, Think Coffee on Mercer Street in NY is a great cafe with a cozy and inviting atmosphere. Their coffee is delicious and their food options are appealing. The staff is friendly and attentive. Highly recommend trying it out!

Great coffee and delicious pastries in a nice space that's large but still intimate. Find your cozy corner and relax a while. Free WiFi and they won't rush you out. Outside steps to the second floor are a steep climb, but not a deal breaker.

THE MAN didn't even say hi to me when I came in, and he had a racist attitude, I don't know what right you have to have that kind of attitude. He also just threw change coins on the table and I had to pick them up one by one. The drip coffee tastes terrible. I very much regret taking time out of my precious vacation to visit this place.
