One of my favorite neighborhood stops I was thrilled when one of my favorite matcha spots came just blocks away- I come here multiple times a week, service is always friendly and the menu is all delicious. I often get a matcha and the matcha overnight oats and grab the grain free granola for office breakfasts with yogurt- and the soft serve is a summer favorite !

Disappointing on several levels, but the service was nice at least. I have allergies to most non-dairy milks, and was disappointed that regular milk was not an option. The barista was very nice about it and suggested a straight matcha, and unfortunately, it's just not great. The matcha itself tastes acceptible, with a minimal bitterness and a delicate grassiness. Lackluster for something claiming to be 'ceremonial grade' but not abysmal. However, it was definitely underwhisked, the total lack of any foam on top is a dead giveaway for this. It detracts from both the flavor and texture of good matcha, but also can help pass a good culinary grade matcha as ceremonial. However, you can't hide the color-and the dim color is a strong tell that the quality of the matcha doesn't quite match up with what they're advertising it as. Also, the taste of the municipal water used is almost stronger than the matcha itself. Finally, the ratio of matcha to water is on the skimpy side. A good water filter, better matcha quality, and a lesson in whisking matcha properly would go a very long way here.

I’ve heard a lot about Matchaful and wanted to give it a chance since I was in the neighborhood. I got the special summer Oishii berry matcha drink and it was disgusting. I’ve had great matcha strawberry drinks before because it’s such a classic combo, but this one was not great. The matcha tasted water downed AND it was $11! I was really disappointed and not sure why it tasted so strange. It had a gross aftertaste. Maybe it was the oatmilk?

Was looking for some protein to replenish the body after a 103 miles ride. The bartender custom whipped up a Matcha drink with oatmeal and added protein powder. I had it served hot. 🙏🏻🙏🏻 The flavor was better than expected. The 12 oz portion size was disappointing for $8.50. 16 0z would have been nicer… 😇

Best matcha soft serve I ever had. Not too grassy tasty but still a hint of matcha.
