Sushi rolls are very popular in America and about thirty nine percent eat it every month. I am fond of sushi and a favorite place is Kazunori at The Hugh. This vast food hall is a special place for me with its foliage, sparkling lights and music. Kazunori has only seats at a counter. On Saturday, I had the 3 hand roll set menu which was my first time as I usually take individual rolls but it turns out to be more expensive. This set had Salmon, Crab and Bay Scallop. I substituted Yellowtail for the crab. Each hand roll is given one at a time. First ramekins with wasabi and sliced ginger is given. I find salmon delicious but this time the Bay Scallop was toothsome. Raphael and David served me. The check includes the tip.

New York has many excellent restaurants, but this one was my favorite during our anniversary trip. The hand roll maki bar is very reasonably priced and tip-free. The staff provided excellent service without being overly formal. The nori was crunchy, the rice was warm, and the various smashed raw fish were delicious. The standout hand rolls were the lobster and bay scallop. If you don't drink alcohol, I recommend the iced green tea.

Stopped by for a quick bite and this place was perfect. Got the 6 hand roll and 2 additional toro. So fresh, loaded, and simplicity at its finest. The rice just warm enough, the seaweed perfectly crisp. I can’t stop thinking about it! The toro, lobster, salmon, and crab were my favs. The menu is limited, but the quality and fair prices make up for it. This location is in a really cute food hall. If there’s a wait, I personally loved the fashion art exhibition upstairs!

I visited during lunch on a workweek with a friend. There was a moderately-sized queue, but it moved very fast. The hand rolls were incredible, each and every one we had. The standout roll for me was the unagi/eel roll. Also special shoutout to the staff for such fantastic service!

The food is MORE THAN worth the wait! Busy at lunch time - I probably waiting ~30-40 minutes as a solo diner, but was absolutely blown away by the quality of the food. Fresh rolled sushi served as it’s made (rice is still warm) with fish that melts in your mouth. I didn’t know upscale dining in a food hall was possible, but they achieved it!
