After arriving to my Soho hotel last night, I was searching for a grocer to buy some healthy prepared foods such as chicken and and veggies. I didn't want a mediocre hotel room service chicken salad for $50. A friend suggested Happier Grocery which was a few blocks from me, much closer than the nearest Whole Foods. In a seedy part of Canal Street I was delighted to wander into the trendy curated emporium that is Happier Grocery. The gal behind the prepared food counter was so very kind, and let me try a tiny small of a side, to go with my $28 platter. For about $40 I purchased a dinner plate and breakfast for the next day. The other customers were gorgeous model types of all races, as well as some college kids, and a few food delivery shoppers. I will be going back a lot. Also I found myself laughing out loud for some reason while I examined little packages of cheese, small portion cubes, and wanted to buy one, but I have dairy restrictions. So I guess I was happier at this grocery after all. My checkout cashier was a tad grumpy, he was tired and wanted to go home, but that didn't phase me and I wished him a good evening! It's not for the budget conscious but it sure beats room service prices. I also piked up some creamer for my in-room coffee, (wish they had a bit more selection here) and some granola for breakfast.

Only reviewing the cafe & bakery part. Pastries were solid, good quality with some spaces to improve. Drinks were the same. Definitely on the pricy side, but their things were selected with more care for sure. Oat chocolate chip was unique. It was not like super impressive but good as a cookie with a little difference. ✨Pistachio & rose croissant was rich and delicious. It was outstanding but the dough itself did not have the taste. (Like no butter smell) Mushroom matcha latte was really NOT a good item. Matcha taste was missing and the mushroom made the whole drink bitter. Texture was creamy tho lol.

I headed here on a nice breezy Sunday to finish some work and finish some sunday light shopping check around soho. I was heading to a a little lounge to sit down and happened to pass by this glorious market. Happier is quite known for their exquisite marketing experience but I’ve never heard about their fine art of making graceful drinks of coffee and chai. I was quite stunned when i saw a whole stand of espresso machines and everything when i walked in. Even though it was already quite late into the day, their pastry and drinks election were quite diverse and clearly had a lot to offer; from their hibsicuz glazed donuts, matcha chocolate chip cookies, lavender matcha latte to their cardamom rose latte. Quite a nice classy selection of desserts and fine drinks that just make your Sunday feel very fulfilled. After I finally was able to settle on making a decision being the matcha cookie and a refreshing rose cardamom latte. I will have time to say they really did hit the spot and made my day quite fulfilling, what I loved about the rose cardamom was that albeit using a shay premix it was able to maintain the flavor of the different spices and wasn’t overwhelming sweet which really helped me enjoy my shay as a usual shay enthusiast. The matcha cookie was pretty light and tasty, which surprisingly paired very well with the latte I’d have to say the coffee and pastry definitely did hit and were very neatly made; which make my whole shopping experience after much more pleasant and refreshing. The atmosphere and ambiance of the interior design of rose was absolutely terrific ! Very relaxing and laid-back yet inviting, complimenting the market’s design with a minimalistic design style, yet very elegant and detailed in design that really reflected perfectly into the café. Lastly I’d like to highlight the friendliness of the waiters and staff that accommodated us so nicely although. The service at the barista stand of Happier, they were very gracious! The staff were so friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed throughout ou little sit down. It definitely added to making my experience one to remember! Sky and Christian, the baristas, were truly nice: very positive and inviting individual, helped with recommendations, personal drinks and sweets they enjoyed, and everything! I really cannot stress enough on how amazing my experience was at Happier was: this must be a go to spot if you are in the area and need a good dose of caffeine to give a kick to start your day. Whole heartedly I really loved my experience at Rose, very palatable to the majority and packed with great flavor! All in all, a top rated experience, and I can assure you I’m definitely coming back again !

Absolutely beautiful inside and clean. The smoothies & dark chocolate are pricey but so worth it! I love the chocolate dream protein shake! 35g and absolutely a treat!
